Bible studying IPOD people

Is everyone studying Phillipians for the IPOD giveaway this weekend? It is going to be a pretty cool experience to see alot of people flipping through their bibles to find out what ever verse it is that Ryan gives, I can see a mad rush to the board to write it down. I think that as a bonus whoever wins has to do a duet with Ryan before being handed the IPOD, what do you think.

A couple of weeks ago if you remember Ryan asked how many people read the bible everyday and or have devoitions with God and if memory serves me correct there were quite a few people who were not. At the first of the year I started a bible reading program that has a year long schedule of reading, each day I read something from the Old Testament, the New Testament, Psalms, and Proverbs. It also suggests keeping a journal which I have not been good at, need to work on that. If you are interested either talk to me about it on Sunday or check out deliberatepeople.com. It has all the info you need there. It was designed by Phil Joel who used to be the bass player for the Newsboys, and his pastor. Its pretty cool.

I don't always understand alot of the stuff in the Old Testament yet but I know in time I will. I plan on doing this every year from now on. It is a great way to get closer to good with reading his word, getting into devotions with him and prayer. Speaking of prayer, Glen Cox and his family has been on my mind alot since Sunday. I did not know Glen personally but I knew who he was and he and his family have been in my thoughts alot the past few days, and I pray for the funeral today that this tragedy will glorify God in some way today and that all there will praise Him. I am thankful that Glen gave his life to the Lord and I know where he is today. Keep on praying for his family and friends.
